The brief: Assess the feasibility and co-devise a business plan for the conversion of a Methodist chapel into a community broadcast studio.
Our response: A core business concept was developed and tested using participatory visioning approaches and innovation techniques, "backcasting" the strategy from a desired future. The feasibility study reviewed realistic options for achieving this vision and the Business Plan was then developed with a robust assessment of potential audience opportunity and programme offer that directly informed funding bids.
The impact: The former Seacroft Methodist Chapel was saved and converted into a state of the art community space including a broadcast studio, a venue for up to 100 with a programme of training and performance serving over 7000 young people in east Leeds - a capital development cost of £1.4m.
"I think the work you did with us has been invaluable - the Business Plan we did with you means I feel very clear about the way forward and I can just enjoy putting the plans into action."
